Italy, home of the Autobianchi A112 Abarth, also had its trophy reserved for small scorpions. They did not disdain to venture into major events. At the 1984 San Remo Rally, the VERNENGO / RICORDINI team finished 5th in the trophy and at the same time won the junior classification.
